This is one of a series of educational posters designed for classroom use on the Soviet Space Program or Kosmicheskaya Programma SSSR. This poster was printed in Leningrad in 1970 and covers the topic of Sun and Moon Eclipses. The Soviet Union put tremendous effort into creating a successful space program which was the source of great national pride and symbol of technological prowess. Posters of this type served to not only educate young Soviets but also to instill in them a sense of patriotism. This is an unrestored, used poster with moderate wear, toning from age and other evidence of use but with an overall pleasing appearance.
