This vintage original poster by the Portuguese artist Maria Helena Vieira da Silva celebrates Portugal’s Carnation Revolution which was a coup that overthrew the authoritarian regime of Estado Novo on 25 April 1974. The poster’s title A Poesia Está Na Rua which translates to “Poetry Is Out On The Street” in English. Neogravura LDA is printed in the lower right hand corner.

This poster shows moderate handling wear including some bumping along the edges in places most notably along the upper right edge. The poster has a short tear of about 1 cm on both the right and left edges but nothing torn off or missing. The colors are strong and overall display quality very good.
