This is a vintage original horizontal format poster for an exhibition of Ernie Bushmiller’s cartoon artwork for the comic strip Nancy. This exhibition was held from April 1 to June 24, 1990 at the Museum of Cartoon Art at Rye Brook, New York.

Ernie Bushmiller’s Nancy comic strip first appeared in 1938 and is still in syndication today although the strip has been drawn by other cartoonists since Bushmiller’s passing in 1982. The left margin is printed “Design by Peter Poplaski/Kitchen Sink Press “Nancy” © 1990 United Features Syndicate, Inc.”

This poster has no tape or pinholes and shows moderate handling wear including edges a bit bumped in spots and light creasing in the image area. There is a bit of creasing to the upper left hand corner and along the margin on the left edge. The poster is clean and retains strong color. Overall condition is very good.
