This is a vintage original c.1927 safety poster issued by the National Safety Council.   The lower margin is printed “General Series No. 2179-B”.  

This poster features the image of what looks like a Chinese man being chased by anthropomorphized gears and machinery with text that reads: 

Nightmare Of A Man Who Neglects To Replace Guards – GUARDS are for your protection 

This vintage original poster isn’t dated but came with others dated to the mid to late 1920s and looks to be from that same c.1927 time period.  This poster is folded as issued and looks unused with no tape or pinholes and only light handling wear, modest toning from age and a bit of faint ghosting to the ink.  Overall condition is very good.
