This is a vintage original c.1940s double sided Open/Closed door sign issued as an advertising piece for 7Up Lemon Lime Soda.   This sign is printed on cardboard with similar graphics on both sides with one side showing the word “OPEN” and the other side showing the word “CLOSED” along with the advertising slogan Your “Fresh Up”.  

This sign isn’t dated but both sides feature the 7Up bottle with the label known to collectors as the “7-Bubble Swimsuit label” since it features a women in a bathing suit with seven small bubbles.   In 1938 the makers of 7Up changed the label from eight bubbles to seven bubbles and continued using that seven bubble label until 1953 so thus a date between 1938 and 1953 for this sign.  This particular sign is widely reproduced and available as a repo but this is the vintage original produced in the1938 to 1953 time period.   

This vintage original sign is fully complete and well intact with moderate handling wear and few small nicks and minor scuffs in places.  This vintage original sign displays beautifully.   Overall condition is very good.
