This is a vintage original poster promoting the Cinerama feature documentary film South Seas Adventure.  South Seas Adventure was released in 1958 as the fifth film produced in Cinerama, a widescreen process that originally projected images simultaneously from three synchronized 35mm projectors onto a huge curved movie theater screen.  Cinerama was one of several novel technologies developed in the 1950s as Hollywood sought ways to enhance the movie going experience and compete with the rapidly growing popularity of television.   

This vintage original poster is free of tape and pinholes and shows moderate handling wear including a short tear without paper loss of less than inch on the top edge and some bumping to the lower left corner.  The poster has a small quarter inch nick off the margin on the right edge and shows a bit of toning and light foxing in places.  Overall condition is very good.
