This vintage original WWII poster was issued by the Office of War Information in 1943 as OWI Poster No. 57.   This poster urges American’s to “Grow Your Own” and Can Your Own” and features an idealized view of young girl learning how to can while asking her confident looking mother “We’ll have lots to eat this winter, won’t we Mother?”.  The USDA’s Victory Garden program begun during WWI and relaunched for WWII was a major success on the home front that saw millions of Americans growing and canning their own vegetables. This poster is vintage original folded as issued with light handling wear and modest toning from age.  Overall condition is very good.  This poster was issued folded and ships that way.
