This vintage original poster was issued by the United States Shipping Board Emergency Fleet Corporation in 1917.   The poster features the image of strapping shipbuilder holding a rivet gun in one hand and gesturing with his other hand toward a hull of a large ship in drydock surrounded by workers.  The poster’s title On The Job For Victory motivates America’s critical shipbuilders and celebrates their vital contribution to the war effort.  The Emergency Fleet Corporation was established by the United States Shipping Board in April 1917 to acquire, maintain, and operate merchant ships in the interest of national defense during World War I.

This vintage original poster looks pretty well unused with no tape or pinholes and only slight handling wear including edges lightly bumped in places and a small half inch tear without paper loss in the margin on the left edge.   Overall condition is excellent.
