James Montgomery Flagg created perhaps the most iconic and beloved of all American First World War posters when he used imagery of Uncle Sam to extoll “I Want You For The U.S. Army”. For this poster promoting the sale of War Saving Stamps, Flagg again uses his image of Uncle Sam to make appeal to the patriotism of Americans. This poster has been professionally linen backed with expert restoration and touch up as needed including a repaired tear on the lower edge and small amounts of touch up overpainting in a couple spots. This vintage original poster displays beautifully with bright colors.
