This original antique WWI poster was created by the artist Blanch Greer for the American Red Cross and issued in 1918.  This poster promoting Red Cross's roll in community health was issued during the Spanish Influenza pandemic that ravaged America and the wider world beginning in early 1918.  The American Red Cross played a vital roll in battling the pandemic by training and deploying thousands of public health nurses and implementing programs and initiatives to protect public health in the United States.  Blanche Greer also illustrated children’s books and covers for major magazines including the Saturday Evening Post.

This original poster is free of tape or pinholes and looks pretty well unused with just moderate handling wear.  The poster has a tear of about an inch on the bottom edge and a another tear of about a half inch on the right edge both without paper loss as well as a bit of bumping to the edges in places.  Overall condition is very good.
