This vintage original and rare poster was issued by the United States Navy for recruiting purposes in January 1939.  This poster features photographic illustrations showing different aspects of service in the United States Navy.  The document code printed in the lower margin indicates a January 1939 production date.  A montage of photos of Navy Life surround a US Navy sailor holding a signal flag under the title NAVY LIFE.   The artist’s name, Matt Murphey – USN, is signed in print at the bottom of the image.   

This vintage original poster has no tape or pinholes and was never hung up or used. The poster shows light handling wear and modest toning from age. Overall condition is very good.
