This vintage original WWII poster was created by the artist Alfred Parker in 1942 to help promote the sale of War Savings Stamps and Bonds. Parker renders an image of a young girl and her mother pasting War Savings Stamps into booklet under the title “Even a little can help a lot – Now”. War Savings Stamps could be purchased with small amounts of spare change and then when enough stamps had been accumulated they could be exchanged for an actual war bond which greatly increased the number of Americans that could provide financial support for the war effort. The lower margin of the poster indicates the artwork for this poster appeared originally in the Ladies’ Home Journal.
This vintage original poster is in very good condition with no tape or pinholes and only light handling wear and slight toning from age. This poster is folded as issued and in very good condition overall.
