This vintage original WWII poster was issued by the War Production Board in 1942 to help motivate mineworkers and others engaged in vital wartime work. This poster features a Modernist design style depicting mineworkers producing raw material transitioning into factory workers producing shells transitioning into soldiers on the frontline firing an artillery piece. The artist’s name is printed on the right edge and appears to be “Monnast”.
This vintage original WWII poster is fully complete and well intact. The poster is free of tape or pinholes and shows moderate handling wear, some toning from age, slight separation at the fold line intersections and faint ghosting at the top. There is a short tear of about an inch without paper loss on the bottom edge and small bits of separation on the lateral fold lines at the edges. The poster still displays nicely and overall condition is very good.
