This poster, created by the artist Cecil C. Beall, is one in the “Loose Talk” series of posters issued by the British and American Ambulance Corps, Inc. during WWII. This poster depicts an image of two blue collar factory workers in a bar after work discussing their wartime work as an ghostly smirking Hitler figure looms ominously behind listening intently to every word over text that reads Don’t Be A Dope And Spread Inside Dope LOOSE TALK COSTS LIVES.

The lower left hand corner has a 1942 copyright and Beall’s signature appears in print in the upper left hand corner. The lower margin is printed “Distributed In The Interest Of National Defense And As A Means Of Obtaining Funds For Ambulances Wherever Needed. British And American Ambulance Corps, Inc. 420 Lexington Avenue, New York City”.

This vintage original poster is lightly used with light handling wear including edges slightly bumped in spots and a single pinhole on each corner. The colors are sharp and overall condition is very good.
