This vintage original WWII poster was created by noted graphic designer and artist Charles T. Coiner and issued in 1942 by the United States Office of Civilian Defense. Coiner’s innovative use of simple but brilliant geometric pictograms was described as “visionary” and was an important inspiration for the corporate logo and branding design trends that emerged and flourished in the postwar years.

This poster is folded as issued and shows moderate handling and some toning from age. The post has a pinhole on each corner and minor separation on a couple spots where fold lines come together. There is a short tear of about an inch without loss on the left edge. The colors remain vibrant and overall condition is very good.
