This vintage original window card style poster was issued by the United States Marine Corps after just a couple months of American involvement in WWII.  This is a window card style poster printed one side only on lightweight cardboard measuring about 15” x 11”.   For this poster Guinnell renders an image of huge bayonets rising up from remote sandy beaches.  The viewer’s perspective looks towards a rising sun in the east over the title WAKE – AMERICA’S BEACH OF BAYONETS.  Text below the image quotes President Franklin Roosevelt’s January 6th, 1942 State of the Union speech, delivered only a few weeks after the attack on the Pearl Harbor, in which he paid homage to the outnumbered Marine Corps defenders of that beleaguered coral atoll.

This vintage original window card style poster is in very good condition with just light handling wear including a couple tiny surface nicks on the edges.   Overall condition is very good.
