This vintage original and rare WWII poster was created by the artist Henry Koerner and issued by the United States War Production Board in 1943 to encourage workers on the home front to bring forward their good ideas for increasing productivity in essential wartime industries.  Koerner uses a Modernist style design of three skilled factory workers plying their tools and facing a large stopwatch with text that reads If it’ll save a second…It’s A Great Idea. Let’s have it! Short Cuts Can Shorten The War

This unrestored poster was issued folded and shows moderate handling wear including some short short tears on the edges and edges bumped in places. There is a small bit of paper loss on the margin along the upper left edge not affecting the artwork.  A few small pieces of easily removable acid free paper archival tissue have been applied on the edges on the back of the poster to the stabilize short tears. Overall condition is very good for this vintage original and rare WWII poster.  The last one of these we find at auction appeared in 2004.
