This vintage original WWII poster is one in a series issued by Abbott Laboratories in conjunction with the United States Treasury Schools-At-War Program. This poster, by Nebraska born artist Grant Reynard, features the image of an American bomber pilot flashing a “V” for Victory sign bracketed by text that reads LEND A HAND! above him and BONDS BUY BOMBS below him. The back of the poster has a small text box with information on Reynard who was a member of the National Academy and a prolific illustrator with his work appearing in The Saturday Evening Post, Harper's Bazaar, Collier's, Cosmopolitan and other leading magazines of the era.
This vintage original poster is in very good condition with no tape or pinholes and only light handling wear and slight toning from age. It doesn’t appear this poster was ever hung up or used.
