This vintage original WWII poster was created by the prolific and beloved American illustrator Norman Rockwell and issued in 1943 as one of the posters in the United States Army Department of Ordnance’s Keep ‘Em Shooting campaign.

For this poster Rockwell departs from his traditional folksy depictions of every day American life and instead depicts a battle hardened American GI in tattered fatigues firing a Browning M1917 machine gun at an unseen enemy. These posters would have been used primarily in ordnance factories so the poster’s tag line, Let’s give him Enough and On Time, was an appeal directly to those working around the clock to help supply the American War Machine.

This vintage original lightly used poster is folded as issued. The poster shows a tack hole in the margin on each corner and another single tack hole at the center in the margin on the right and left edge. This poster is otherwise in excellent condition with just light handling wear and no tape, paper loss or staining. Overall condition is excellent.
