This poster by Hungarian born artist Andre Dugo was chosen by the National Tuberculosis Association to promote their 1943 Christmas Seals campaign. Dugo’s Art Deco style is reminiscent of the WPA posters produced during the era and other illustration work he had done for children’s books and major magazine clients including Harper’s Bazaar and Vanity Fair.

The lower margin has a 1943 copyright by The National Tuberculosis Association which through their Christmas Seal campaigns begun in 1907 raised many millions of dollars for the successful public health battle against TB. This unrestored poster has a small tape stain in the upper right hand and upper left hand corners and is otherwise in excellent condition with just some toning from age and light handling wear.
