This vintage original WWII poster created by the artist James Montgomery Flagg was issued by the Office of Economic Stabilization and distributed by the Office of War Information in 1943. Flagg reprises the Uncle Sam image he used to create his iconic “I Want You For U.S. Army” poster issued during WWI. This time Uncle Sam declares “You Can Lick Runway Prices” and outlines the Seven Keys to Victory in a patriotic appeal to all Americans. Flagg’s name is signed in the lower right hand corner of the image.
This vintage original poster has no tape or pinholes and doesn’t appear to have ever been used. The poster shows modest toning from age and light handling wear and is in very good condition overall.
