This vintage original WWII poster is one in a series issued by Abbott Laboratories in conjunction with the United States Treasury War Finance Program. This poster features the heartwarming and joyous homecoming imaging of American soldier returning from the war with the title Bring him home Sooner! BUY WAR BONDS. The back of the poster has a small text box with information on the poster’s artist Lawrence Beall Smith who had been commissioned as a combat artist and was only combat artist to produce first hand artwork depicting the D-Day Normandy invasion.
This vintage original poster is in very good condition with no tape and only light handling wear including a short quarter inch tear in the margin on the left edge and a single staple hole on each corner.
