This is vintage original small format WWII workplace safety poster created by the artist Adolf Treidler and issued by the War Department Safety Council in 1944. For this poster Treidler renders and image of a Rosie the Riveter type figure pointing proudly at a factory sign that indicates Safety Record and zero hours lost to avoidable accidents. At the bottom of the poster a U.S. military aviator smiles broadly next to text that reads “Get Yourself A Zero Too!” suggesting that getting zero workplace accidents is as important as shooting down a Japanese “Zero” aircraft. Treidler’s name is signed in print in the lower left corner of the image area and the date 1944 is printed in the lower margin.
This vintage original poster is free of tape and shows light handling wear including light creasing to the upper left and lower right corners. The poster has a pinhole near the lower right corner and is otherwise free of pinholes. The colors remain vibrant and overall condition is very good.
