This is a vintage original 1944 Goodyear advertising wall calendar top with artwork created by the celebrated American illustrator Joseph C. Leyendecker.   Leyendecker renders a folksy homespun image of man in U.S. Army Air Corps uniform using a model airplane as a prop and regaling two young boys and their dog with war stories.   The lower right corner is printed with the bible verse “…your young men shall see visions”

This vintage original calendar top still has the original metal strip attached to the top edge.  The bottom edge has been trimmed to remove the calendar pad not affecting the artwork.   The colors are strong and this calendar top displays very nicely with moderate handling wear including some slight creasing along the top edge.   Overall condition is very good.
