This vintage original and rare poster was issued for Motion Picture Theatre WAC Recruiting Week which ran from May 11 to 17, 1944. Although not credited on the poster, this event was most likely organized with the help of the War Activities Committee of the Motion Picture Industry which was the primary way that Hollywood helped to organize recruiting campaigns and disseminate propaganda during WWII. This poster reminds that those serving in the Women’s Army Corps worked with the Air Forces, Ground Forces and Service Forces of the US Army and that expert training was provided for 239 different jobs. Women that wanted to serve their country were invited to “Apply at the nearest U.S. Army Recruiting Station” and “Join The WAC Now!

This vintage original poster was issued folded and has pinholes at the top corners, light creasing at the top margin and light handling wear. Overall condition is very good.
