This vintage original and very rare poster was created for the United States Treasury to promote the 7th War Loan Drive which ran from May 14 to June 30, 1945. The 7th War Loan Drive commenced just days after Germany surrendered ending the war in Europe thus turning the Allied focus entirely towards defeating the fortified island nation of Japan. This poster features a Modernistic image of heavily armed soldiers, airplanes and a tank charging forward in frenzied attack bracketed by text that reads 7th WAR LOAN DRIVE and STARTS HERE NEXT WEEK. We are unable to locate any other examples of this poster and nothing is printed in the lower margins suggesting this may have been a prototype that was never used in general circulation.

This poster has been professionally linen backed with some expert touch up and repair as needed. A few short tears without paper loss have been skillfully repaired and some creasing in the image area skillfully mitigated. The color remains bold and the poster displays with truly striking effect. Overall condition is very good.
