This vintage original WWII poster was created by the artist William Kautz and issued by the United States Treasury to promote the sale of Victory Bonds in 1945. This poster features a portrait and quote of pioneering Tuskegee Institute scientist and inventor George Washington Carver. This poster is noteworthy as one of the only WWII posters to honor or even feature African Americans whose many contributions were critical to the war effort and final victory.
This vintage original poster is folded as issued and in very good condition with no tape of pinholes and only light handling wear. It doesn’t appear this poster was ever hung up or used. Overall condition is excellent.
