This vintage original WWII poster was issued by the United States Treasury in 1945 to promote the sale of bonds connected to the 7th War Loan. The 7th War Loan campaign commenced just days after Germany surrendered ending the war in Europe. With Nazi Germany defeated the end of the war seemed in sight and the focus shifted to defeating the fortified island nation of Imperial Japan. Americas were asked to “Dig Down Deep” one more time to come up the funds needed for the final push. The artist’s name appears signed in the lower right hand corner of the image.
This vintage original has no tape or pinholes and was probably never used. The poster is bumped along the left edge on the lower half of the poster and otherwise in near mint condition.
