This vintage original poster was issued by the Los Angeles Times newspaper in 1945 and features the front page of the newspaper’s 9am Final Extra for Monday Morning, May 7, 1945 announcing V-E Day. This may have been issued as a newsstand advertising poster but more likely was a special souvenir issued on the occasion of the victory over the Axis powers and the end of WWII in Europe. The lower left hand corner is printed with a 1945 copyright by the Los Angeles Times.
This vintage original poster is printed one side only, folded as issued and shows light handling wear and modest toning from age. The poster has about 1.5 inches of separation along the vertical center fold line at the top edge without any paper loss. Overall Condition is very good for this vintage original.
