This is a rare poster from the “America’s Moral Strength” series issued by the United States Army Chaplain Corps.  This poster depicts an image of presumed immigrants from the Middle East or Eastern Europe looking toward the Statue of Liberty with the title PERSONAL FREEDOM. This poster has what appears to be an insignia of the US Army Chaplain Corps in the lower right hand corner and the lower margin is printed “DA Poster 16-69 (Office Of The Chief Of Chaplains)”. The lower margin also shows a 1961 USGPO printing date.

This is a rare poster. We find other posters from the “America’s Moral Strength” series but we do not find this “Personal Freedom” version listed on Worldcat or elsewhere. This poster was folded slightly irregularly into quarters and has “#3” written in ink neatly in the upper left hand margin. The poster has a small crease to the tip of the lower right hand corner and there was a sticker applied to the back of the poster at one time since removed which left small bit of discoloration barely visible on the front to the margin area in the lower left hand corner area. This vintage original rare poster is otherwise in very good condition overall.
