This is original antique poster was issued by the American Red Cross to help promote their Christmas season membership drive during WWI. The Red Cross issued several Christmas themed posters during WWI and this one depicting a candle in a window appears to be one of the hardest to find. The poster has text that reads:
10,000,000 Members By Christmas – On Christmas Eve A Candle In Every Window And Red Cross Members In Every Home
This poster has vertical cut of about four inches inside the candle resulting a small bit of paper loss. There is a short tear without loss of paper on the lower left hand corner. A single piece of tape has been removed from the back of the poster and there is a bit of scattered foxing in the margins. The poster shows moderate handling wear and has been folded a bit irregularly. The colors remain strong for this antique original.
