This vintage original Canadian WWI poster was issued to sort of shame Canadians into buying war bonds. The poster uses a simple comparison showing the percentage of the populations of Great Britain and the United States that bought war bonds versus the percentage of Canadian citizens that bought war bonds. Canada lags well behind with only 1 in every 187 citizens having invested in war bonds during the country’s most recent war bond drive. The poster then appeals to the patriotism of Canadians with the simple question – Are You Satisfied.
This vintage original WWI poster is fully complete and intact with moderate handling wear and some toning from age. A former owner applied a few small pieces of tape to the back of the poster. The tape desiccated and fell off leaving just a few old tape stains around the edges on the back poster which are close to invisible on the front side of the poster. The poster is folded as issued and otherwise in very good condition.
