This vintage original WWII poster was issued by the Incentive Division of the Navy Department to highlight the Army Navy “Excellence in Production” or “E” Award program. This coveted Army Navy “E” award was earned by only about 5% of the 85,000 companies that produced war materials for the US military during WWII. This poster features an image of idealized American industrial workers, including a woman” hoisting a large Army Navy “E” Award flag against a factory background with text that reads Let’s Keep It Flying – What Are YOU Doing To Keep Our “E”. An illegible printed artist’s signature appears in the lower left hand corner of the poster image.
This vintage original WWII poster is fully complete and well intact. The poster shows moderate handling wear, slight toning from age and a pinhole on each corner. The poster has a small tack hole size puncture near the upper right-hand corner and was folded slightly irregularly. The poster has no tape and the colors are sharp and bold. Overall condition is very good.
