This vintage original and rare poster isn’t dated but was likely issued in 1942 or early 1943.   This poster utilizes a chart layout to illustrated US Navy Insignia under the title U.S. Navy Steps In Advancement.   The bottom of the poster has an ink handstamp that indicates “Made By Illinois Works Projects Administration War Services”.   The New Deal era Work Progress Administration was renamed the Works Project Administration in 1939 and dissolved by early 1943 so this the poster would no later than early 1943.   We find no other examples.    

This vintage original poster was never hung or used and has no tape or pinholes. The poster shows light handling wear including edges light bumped in spots and has a tear of about an inch without loss of paper on the bottom edge.   Overall condition is very good.
