This is an elaborate and highly detailed WWII era pictorial map poster of the United States issued by the United States Office of War Information.   This map poster isn’t dated but the United States Office of War Information was discontinued at the end of WWII in September 1945 so the map would be prior to that date.  The map gives the population if the United States as about 138M which supports a date of 1944 or 1945.  

This map is profusely illustrated with many hundred colorful icons denoting points of interest, landmarks, agricultural and industrial products, historical sites and more all across the contiguous United States.  Also included are three smaller inset maps showing Principal Trunk-Line Railroads, Air Routes and Terrain and Principal Trunk-Line Highways. The lower margin shows a copyright by the General Drafting Co., Inc. of New York City. The cartouche area of the map is titled:

This vintage original map is fully complete and intact.   This map was issued folded and then apparently stored rolled.   The map shows some short tears and small nicks and creasing on the edges and has some vertical creasing from having been a bit flattened in the roll.   The colors are strong and the map displays nicely.   Basic linen backing could get this map poster looking great.
