This vintage original poster was issued by the National War Fund which was organized in 1943 to finance the USO and about 20 WWII era overseas war appeals including relief for prisoners of war. The poster features an idealized view of a guy in a US Army uniform smiling broadly and gesturing toward a USO sign with text that reads “They sure help plenty”. During WWII some 1.5 million people volunteered in one way or another for the USO which provided a “home away from home” for US military personnel serving overseas.
This poster looks almost unused with no tape or pinholes and just light handling wear and modest toning from age. Overall condition is very good. Please see our other listings for more posters from this National War Fund series.
