This vintage original WWII poster was issued by the United States War Production Board in 1942. This poster features a Modernist style photomontage design and quotes President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s Fireside Chat radio broadcast of December 9, 1941. This was FDR’s first wartime Fireside Chat in which he braced the nation for the coming war and emphasized above all the need for unity and that all Americans were in the fight together. The poster features men, women and children of different occupations, races and backgrounds walking together in the same direction to graphically underscore the poster’s unity message.
This poster is a vintage original issued in 1942. This poster has no tape, pinholes or paper loss and shows some toning from age and moderate handling wear including a couple short half inch tears on the edges and edges slightly bumped in places. This poster was issued folded and ships folded. Overall condition is very good.
