This vintage original WWII poster was issued by the Office of War Information as OWI Poster No. 8 in 1942.  Three muscular arms reach upwards towards heaven, perhaps invoking The Almighty, all holding tools essential to fighting and wining WWII.   If one looks closely it appears the arm on the right holding a wrench is that of a woman while the others are the arms of men including a soldier holding a rifle.  The “Strong in the sense of the Lord” quote is attributed to then Vice-President Henry Wallace.

This is the rare largest size for this poster measuring 56” x 40”.  This vintage original poster was issued folded.  The poster shows a few short tears on the edges and a pinhole near each of the lower corners.  Overall condition is otherwise very good with moderate handling wear and modest toning from age.
