This poster was issued during WWI as part of the United War Work Campaign to raise funds for the American Library Association program providing books for American soldiers and sailors serving overseas.   An American doughboy holds up a book and jauntily proclaims “Hey Fellows!” while a sailor sits beside him, engrossed in his reading next to the tagline “Your Money Brings The Books We Need When We Want It”.  The artist’s name appears in the lower right hand corner of the image.  

This vintage original poster doesn’t appear to have even been used and has no tape or pinholes and only light handling wear including a short tear without paper loss of less than a half inch on the left edge and a slight lateral crease just above the bottom edge.  Overall condition is excellent.
