This vintage original c.1940s workplace safety poster was issued by the Bethlehem Steel Company to remind workers to be acquainted with the location of fireboxes. The face of a confused and startled steelworker is illuminated by the orange glow of an unseen fire as he scratches his head and wonders where it was that he saw that firebox. This poster aptly illustrates a dire scenario that in spite minimal text was no doubt gets a message clearly across to the viewer. The Bethlehem Steel Co. name is printed on the lower right hand corner.
This vintage original poster has no tape or pinholes and shows only light handling wear including a couple very slight scratches and a bit of light scattered foxing on the verso. Overall condition is very good.
