This vintage WWI era original is one of the most well-known posters produced for the Third Liberty Loan campaign. The artwork by Howard Chandler Christy features a woman raising the American flag and gesturing forward as an army of American doughboys marches behind her with text that reads FIGHT OR BUY BONDS. The Third Liberty Loan was enacted on April 5, 1918 to raise $4.1 billion for the war effort so thus the date for this poster.
This vintage original poster shows moderate handling wear including a couple short tears on the edges without paper loss. This poster also has a small stain on the tip of the lower left corner and slight toning from age. Overall condition is very good.
