This vintage WWI era original is one of the most well-known posters produced for the Third Liberty Loan campaign. The artwork by Howard Chandler Christy features a woman raising the American flag and gesturing forward as an army of American doughboys marches behind her with text that reads FIGHT OR BUY BONDS. The Third Liberty Loan was enacted on April 5, 1918 to raise $4.1 billion for the war effort so thus the date for this poster.
This vintage original poster has been professionally linen backed with basic restoration as needed including repair to a couple short tears on the edges and mitigation of some creasing in the image area and staining along the bottom edge near the lower left corner. Overall condition is very good.
