This vintage WWI era original is one of the most well-known posters produced for the Third Liberty Loan campaign. The artwork by Howard Chandler Christy features a woman raising the American flag and gesturing forward as an army of American doughboys marches behind her with text that reads FIGHT OR BUY BONDS. The Third Liberty Loan was enacted on April 5, 1918 to raise $4.1 billion for the war effort so thus the date for this poster.
This original antique poster has been professionally conservation backed to linen with some touch up as needed including repair to a few short tears on the edges. The poster has pinholes on the corners and some toning from age. The poster displays very well and overall condition is very good.
