KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, the national flag carrier of The Netherlands, reissued several early posters on the occasion of that airline’s 50th anniversary in 1969.   This poster, designed by Dutch artist Antonius Mathieu Guthschmidt and originally issued in 1924, is one such example of these 1969 50th anniversary reissues.  This poster features what was then a modern KLM  aircraft flying over ghost ship of legend The Flying Dutchman.   The poster was intended for a British audience and features English language text which reads: 

FACT Becomes FICTION 

This vintage original poster from KLM’s 1969 50th Anniversary celebration is free of tape or pinholes and shows moderate handling wear including some bumping to the edges in places most notably along the top and bottom of the right edge.  Overall condition is very good.  Please see our other listings for more posters from the 1969 KLM Anniversary series.
