KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, the national flag carrier of The Netherlands, reissued several early posters on the occasion of that airline’s 50th anniversary in 1969. This poster, designed by British artist Charles C. Dickson and originally issued in 1928, is one such example of these 1969 50th anniversary reissues. This poster features the Fokker F.VIII or F.8 aircraft which entered service with KLM in June 1927. The Fokker F.VIII featured a spacious 12-seat arrangement and was considered among the most comfortable and luxurious passenger aircraft of the era. The poster was originally intended for a British audience and features English language text which reads:
See Twice As Much Of Europe In Half The Time
This vintage original poster from KLM’s 1969 50th Anniversary celebration is free of tape or pinholes and shows light handling wear including some slight bumping to the edges in places.
