This vintage original poster was created by the prolific American illustrator McClelland Barclay for the US Navy and issued in 1941 to help recruit pilots and skilled workers for naval aviation. Barclay renders an image of a man in US Navy uniform working on an airplane over text that reads:
Naval Aviation has a place for you…Pilots, Machinist’s Mates, Radiomen, Metalsmiths, Ordnancemen – Learn the right way, the Navy way
This vintage original poster has no tape or pinholes and is in very nice condition overall. The poster shows moderate handling wear and some bumping and slight creasing in the margin along the right edge. Also on the right edge are a couple short half inch tears without loss of paper and small crease on the tip of upper righthand corner. The colors remain strong and overall condition is very good.
