This vintage original WWII placard style poster was issued by the Office of War Information as OWI Poster No. 22 in 1942. This poster is one of several issued in the United States during WWII which sought to recruit nurses. The shortage of nurses became so acute during WWII that Congress acted to establish the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps which eventually graduated more than 124,000 student nurses. This is a small format placard style poster printed one side only on slick cardboard. This same design was also used on a more commonly found larger folded poster.
This vintage original cardboard placard style poster looks pretty well unused with just the slightest of handling wear. Overall condition is very good.
