This vintage original and stirring poster was created by noted graphic designer Charles Coiner for the Office of War Information in 1942 shortly after the United States entered World War Two. The poster’s simple design boldly featuring and dominated by an American Flag image and tagline “Give It Your Best!” inspired millions on the Home Front to do their utmost in support of the war effort. This poster is fairly commonly encountered in the standard half sheet and one sheet sizes but this is the much rarer jumbo version of this poster measuring about 57” x 41”
This vintage original WWII poster has been professionally linen backed with expert touch up as needed including repair to corner pinholes. A couple small spots and some small areas of wear on the fold lines have been skillfully addressed. This poster otherwise shows light handling wear and slight toning from age. Overall condition is very good.
