This vintage original WWII poster was issued by the War Production Board in 1943. The image of a muscular arm raising a engineers’ hammer next to the arm of the Statue of Liberty raising her torch aptly underscores the poster’s title message WORK TO KEEP FREE! This hard to find poster, like others issued by the WWII era War Production Board, were used to motivate workers laboring to produce essential war materiel.
This vintage original lightly used WWII poster is fully complete and well intact. The poster shows modest handling wear, slight toning from age and a pinhole on each corner. The poster has a small tack hole size puncture near the upper right-hand corner and some dust staining on the verso not affecting the front of the poster. The colors remain bold and overall condition is very good.
