Size (cm): 56 x 42.5
Linen backed: No
This vintage original WWII poster was issued by the United States Treasury to promote the sale of war bonds in 1944. An American soldier lies prone on the beach gripping his rifle with bloody bandage on his as a fallen Japanese flag and ammo box lay nearby. The lower margin indicates Official U.S. Treasury Poster and the lower left hand corner shows Dulfer Litho., S.F., Calif. 9-15-44.
This poster is folded as issued and in good condition overall with moderate handling wear and a small notch off the margin on the right edge. There is a small bit of separation at the center of the poster where the fold lines intersect and a couple short tears on the edges. The color is strong and overall condition is very good.
