This rare poster was issued by the National Rifle Association of American in 1946 to promote gun safety and, in particular, the importance of using correct ammunition for the firearm at hand. This poster features a cartoonish anthropomorphic image of a bullet with human face and arms being loaded into a gun. The bolt of the gun also has a human face and arms and waves frantically to alert that the bullet coming in is not correct for this gun. Text above reads:

Does It FIT And – Is It RIGHT!

The lower righthand corner shows a 1946 copyright by the National Rifle Association of America.

This vintage original poster shows light handling has a bit of light soiling and spotting at the top of the poster but nothing too serious. Overall condition is otherwise very good for this hard-to-find 1946 NRA poster.
